Theme
Join us for a day dedicated to electromagnetic compatibility (EMC) in power electronic converters, with a special focus on the supraharmonic frequency range.
Throughout the day, we will explore how noise propagates in converter systems, including the effects of power grid impedance, differential-mode (DM) and common-mode (CM) noise, and closed-loop impedance.
As part of the program, you will also see an EMC demonstrator based on a real product — a modified Grundfos pump. The demonstrator illustrates how emissions above 1 MHz are often not determined by the components in the mains filter, but instead by the mechanical construction of the product. It includes both conducted noise behavior from 150 kHz to 30 MHz and radiated emissions from 30 MHz to 1 GHz using the same physical setup.
You will also hear about practical modeling approaches, including black-box methods for power converter characterization. The program will further cover EMI filter design and lifetime considerations — discussing suitable topologies, material choices, and key factors that influence filter performance and durability.
The event will conclude with a presentation of a newly developed software tool that supports EMI prediction and EMC design in power electronic converters.
Vi ser frem til at mødes!
